A 24-Year-Old Teacher Lost Her Career After Joining A Dance Competition.
It was holiday when Miss Clarissa, a teacher on a primary school in Baja California, Mexico, joined a dance contest at a beachfront bar.
With the will to exhibit a great performance, she set out her dance moves. As reported in News 7, she even dared to have her butt rested in one of the juries’ lap. She had her bikinis when all these happened in front of many people.
Miss Clarissa told the local news outlet Reforma that she’s aware that a lot of people are taking a video of her while she was dancing on the event but never did she imagined that it would spread across social media.
For her, it was just a competition and something that would not give the definition on the kind of person she is. She justified further that it was her free time and we are on modern times – the 21st century.
She was enjoying her Easter break when she joined the competition which happened in a place that is 16-hour drive away from where she is teaching in Sonora.
Facebook had been the witness of her video. One parent noticed and identified her when the video spread across the social media.
A complaint was filed by the said parent. Miss Clarissa knew that someone identified her as the video went viral. It even reached her working place and photos of her dancing were seen by her pupils.
The 24-year-old teacher admitted that she wasn’t given any choice but to leave. She expressed how she felt pressured and that leaving was the only thing she knew she could do.
According to her, she’s a human being like everyone else and there are instances when people believe the profession to be the person’s definition. With this, one would find it hard to find happiness outside the bounds of her work.
The school where she taught, Cumbre del Noroests Institute, cleared its side by saying that the young teacher resigned for some private reasons.
The school’s Facebook page was then filled with parents’ sentiments asking the institution to allow Miss Clarissa to have her work back.
