Several schools in Metro Manila and nearby areas have suspended or shifted their classes to online modes on Monday, September 23, 2024, due to a scheduled transport strike. - De La Salle University: Senior high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels at the Manila and Laguna campuses will conduct online classes on September 23 and 24.
- Don Bosco Technical College: Online classes will be held for the Basic Education sector.
- Far Eastern University: FEU Makati and FEU Manila will shift all classes to online platforms.
- Mapua University: Senior high school and college students at the Intramuros and Makati campuses will have online classes.
- St. Paul University Manila: Senior high school classes will be online, while college classes are fully suspended.
- TRACE College, Los Baños: All classes are suspended for the day.
- University of Perpetual Help Las Piñas: Online classes will be held for all levels in the Basic Education sector.

- University of the Philippines Visayas (UP Visayas): All classes are suspended in observance of “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day.”
In addition to these announcements, several local governments have also declared adjustments to office hours and class schedules. Many government offices and schools will operate only until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23, in observance of “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day,” a nationwide initiative promoting family bonding through shared meals.
