Several local government units across Luzon have announced the suspension of classes on Friday, July 4, 2025, due to heavy rains continuing to pour, caused by a Low Pressure Area (LPA) and the prevailing Southwest Monsoon, also known as Habagat.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) earlier issued a weather advisory, warning of possible flash floods and landslides due to persistent rainfall.
Local officials have urged residents in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas to take precautionary measures and stay updated through official announcements. Authorities also reminded the public to prioritize safety and avoid unnecessary travel during the heavy downpour.
Further class suspensions may be announced as weather conditions develop. Students, parents, and school personnel are advised to monitor advisories from PAGASA and local disaster risk reduction offices.
