The affected regions include Bohol, Southern Leyte, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor. In Occidental Mindoro, the areas of Santa Cruz, Abra de Ilog, Mamburao, Paluan, Looc, and Lubang are under similar conditions.
In Palawan, municipalities such as Busuanga, Coron, Culion, San Vicente, Roxas, Dumaran, Araceli, parts of Linapacan, and Taytay are also experiencing these heavy rains. Central Cebu areas including cities like Cebu, Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu, and Talisay, along with neighboring municipalities like Samboan, Santander, Oslob, Malabuyoc, and others, are also being affected. The rain is expected to continue for 2 to 3 hours and may expand to adjacent areas.
Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 06 (Daet Radar)
A RED WARNING has been raised for Camarines Norte, with severe flooding expected in flood-prone areas, and higher chances of landslides in areas vulnerable to such hazards. Communities in these regions are advised to take precautionary measures and evacuate if necessary. The heavy rains are expected to persist due to the continued influence of Tropical Storm Kristine.
Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 6 (Visayas PRSD)
A RED WARNING level was also issued for parts of the Visayas, particularly Eastern Samar, Samar, Biliran, and Leyte, including municipalities like Palompon, Ormoc City, and Tacloban City. Serious flooding is expected in low-lying areas, and landslides are likely in mountainous regions.
Additionally, an ORANGE WARNING is in place for areas like Cebu (Tuburan, Sogod, and Catmon) and Leyte (Baybay City, Albuera, and Burauen), signaling the threat of flooding in low-lying regions and potential landslides.
Meanwhile, a YELLOW WARNING has been declared in Negros Occidental, Antique, Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan, and Guimaras, warning of possible flooding in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous regions.
Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 7 (Southern Luzon PRSD)
In Southern Luzon, Pagasa issued a RED WARNING for Northern Samar, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Camarines Sur, Albay, and Masbate. These areas are expected to experience severe flooding and landslides, particularly in flood-prone and mountainous regions. The rainfall intensity is expected to cause significant disruptions in the coming hours.
Moreover, a YELLOW WARNING was issued for Romblon and Marinduque, indicating potential flooding in low-lying areas and areas near river channels.
