Weather Conditions and Impacts
Areas with Rain and Gusty Winds
- Davao Oriental: The province is expected to experience rains and gusty winds due to Tropical Depression Querubin. Residents are advised to remain vigilant as there is a risk of flash floods or landslides caused by moderate to heavy and at times intense rainfall. The strong winds pose a minimal to minor threat to lives and properties.
Areas with Cloudy Skies, Rain, and Thunderstorms
- Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and the rest of the Davao Region: Due to Querubin, these areas will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, leading to possible flash floods or landslides in vulnerable areas.
- Bicol Region and Quezon: The shear line will influence weather in these regions, resulting in scattered rains and thunderstorms. Due to moderate to heavy rainfall, similar risks of flooding and landslides persist.
- The rest of Visayas and Mindanao: The trough of Querubin will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms, posing threats of flash floods or landslides.
- Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora: The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains to these areas. Flash floods or landslides are possible due to moderate to heavy rainfall.
Metro Manila and the Rest of Luzon
- These areas will generally experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon. No significant impacts are expected.
Coastal Water Conditions
- Northern and Eastern Sections of the Country and Western Northern Luzon: Winds are moderate to strong from the northeast, resulting in moderate to rough seas with wave heights of 2.5 to 4.0 meters.
