Pagasa Weather Update

Weather Forecast for Key Areas

Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected in the Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region due to the influence of the LPA. Moderate to heavy rainfall at times may occur, which could result in possible flash floods or landslides, especially in low-lying and mountainous areas. Residents are advised to stay alert and monitor further weather advisories.

Metro Manila and the Rest of the Country
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. These weather conditions are caused by the easterlies, which may bring localized thunderstorms. Although these thunderstorms are expected to be brief, they could lead to possible flash floods or landslides, particularly during severe downpours.

Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao
The wind speed in Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be light to moderate, coming from the east to northeast. Coastal waters in these areas will range from slight to moderate, with wave heights expected between 0.6 to 2.5 meters.

The Rest of the Country
For the rest of the country, wind conditions will remain light to moderate, coming from the east to southeast. Coastal waters in these areas will also be slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters.

Advisory for Fisherfolk and Residents

Pagasa has advised fisherfolk and residents living in coastal areas, especially in regions affected by the LPA, to exercise caution due to the possibility of rough seas. Likewise, the public is urged to remain vigilant against potential hazards such as flash floods and landslides, particularly in flood-prone and mountainous areas.
