Pagasa Weather Forecast March 13, 2026

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released its weather forecast for March 13, 2026, highlighting the continued influence of the Northeast Monsoon, locally known as the Amihan, across much of the country. This weather system is currently affecting both Luzon and the Visayas, bringing cooler winds and generally stable conditions to many areas.

According to PAGASA, cloudy skies with light rains are expected over Cagayan Valley and several provinces in the northern and eastern portions of Luzon, including Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes. These conditions are mainly due to the persistent Northeast Monsoon. Despite the cloud cover and light rainfall, forecasters note that no significant weather-related impacts are expected in these areas.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains may prevail over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, the Visayas region, Caraga, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Northern Mindanao. The Amihan continues to bring relatively mild weather conditions across these regions, although occasional drizzle or light showers may occur throughout the day.

In the remaining parts of Mindanao, residents can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized weather disturbances. While these thunderstorms may be brief, PAGASA warns that stronger cells could potentially trigger flash floods or landslides, particularly in low-lying or mountainous areas.

PAGASA is also monitoring a tropical system outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Tropical Depression Nuri was located approximately 1,580 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao as of 3:00 AM today. The system currently has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center, with gusts reaching up to 55 kilometers per hour. It is moving east-southeastward at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour. At this time, the tropical depression is not expected to directly affect the country’s weather conditions.

Wind and coastal water conditions remain moderate to strong in the northern and western sections of Northern Luzon, where northeast winds may generate moderate to rough seas with wave heights reaching between 2.8 and 4.5 meters. The eastern seaboards of the country may also experience moderate to rough coastal waters, while the rest of Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao will generally have slight to moderate sea conditions.

For the past 24 hours, PAGASA recorded a minimum temperature of 20.3°C at 6:00 AM and a maximum temperature of 31.2°C at 4:00 PM. Relative humidity ranged from 49 percent to 87 percent, reflecting typical tropical weather conditions across the country. Residents are advised to stay updated with official weather bulletins and exercise caution, especially in areas prone to sudden thunderstorms.
