Women’s Group Unites To Support The Presidential Candidacy Of Sen. Grace Poe
Base on the determination to protect the human rights as stated in the Constitution, the leader of Women’s groups unites to support the presidential candidacy of Sen. Grace Poe.
In a press conference in Quezon City along with launching of “Kababaihan para kay Grace Poe”, former Senator Santanina Rasul said that Sen. Grace Poe presents a leader long sought by Filipinos.
“My long experience as a public servant tells me that Sen. Grace will be good for the country. She is the embodiment of the modern Filipina: manifestly intelligent, honest, sincere and effective,”said by the former Senator Santanina Rasul in a statement read by her daughter Fatima Rasul.
“Her governance program tackles head-on our country’s present and lingering problems and concerns. She is an out-of-the-box problem solver which is what we need today,” she added.
As a first Muslim senator, the senior Rasul enjoyed supporting Poe in Mindanao base to her promise that she will fight for the one-third of the national budget or will exceed to P1 trillion for the adjustments of region.
Meanwhile, former Senator Leticia Ramos-Shahani also said, she chose to support Sen. Grace Poe among the presidential candidates on May 9 because she will not allow the women’s right to repress.
According to balita.net, even Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, Sen. Grace Poe’s partner in the halalan, is the vice-presidential bet and supported by Shahani, a younger sister of former President Fidel V. Ramos .
