Bong Go Says Trump Invited Duterte To Visit U.S.

Pres. Duterte gets invited by U.S. President-elect Donald Trump to visit his country.

DUTERTE – United States President-elect Donald Trump invited Pres. Rodrigo Duterte to visit his country according to the longtime aide of Pres. Duterte.

Pres. Duterte has always been vocal on the several factors that he does not like between the alliance of the United States and the Philippines. One of it is the joint military training in which he believes is only beneficial to the American troops.

Way back in the previous months, Pres. Duterte has reacted intensely against United States and Pres. Barack Obama regarding the concern shown on the alleged extrajudicial killings in the country.

Recognized as the man who does not holds back when it comes to giving warnings, Pres. Duterte has thrown some tirades to Pres. Obama which even led to rumors of the Philippines’ shifting of alliance.

However, after the U.S. Presidential Election 2016, the relationship between Philippines and United States seem to be in a warmer state as Pres. Duterte said he does not want to be in a dispute with U.S. President-elect Trump.

In a previous news report, he even affirmed that he looks forward to working with the administration of Trump.

Recently, a news report in ABS-CBN News stated that in a previous speech, speaking before the Filipino community in Malaysia, Pres. Duterte congratulated U.S. President-elect Trump.

“Ayaw kong makipag-away kasi nandyan na si Trump. I would like to congratulate President Trump. Mabuhay ka! [I don’t want to fight now that Trump is already there. I would like to congratulate Pres. Trump. May you live!]”

Furthermore, the report also entailed that Pres. Duterte cited his similarity with Trump as they both curse even on minute reasons.

According to the news, a the longtime aide of Pres. Duterte said that U.S. President-elect Trump has invited Pres. Duterte to visit the White House in a phone conversation which lasted for more than seven minutes based on a text message of Christopher “Bong” Go to news media.

The President-elect of U.S. invited the Philippine President to go there next year during the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) series of summits when the country would be the chair according to Go.
