Duterte SONA 2016 has finally laid down the President’s message.

The long-awaited national event is truly one remarkable day in the history of the Philippines as attendees reached up to Batasan Road – a remarkable first in the Duterte SONA.
Government officials, VIPs and guests were truly in their business attire as advised by the Finance Department Spokesperson Paola Alvarez days before the event to exhibit the simple personality of the President.
In his first Duterte SONA 2016, the President said on the onset,”We cannot move forward if we allow the past to pull us back, finger pointing is not the way that is why I will not waste precious times dwelling on the sins of the past”.
The President instead showed the positive side of the past as he said, “Extract a lesson or two from its errors”.
Further, the President assured the citizenry on the punishment of corrupt officials as he said, “Those who betrayed the people’s trust shall not go unpunished, they will have their day in court.”
Stressing out his knowledge in prosecution process, President Duterte said that he knows how fast or slow a case can go.
