On Friday, August 18, 2023, “It’s Showtime” welcomed a special guest, Ysabel Ortega, for a lively and entertaining episode. Ysabel, known for her acting skills, stepped outside her comfort zone as she graced the stage with a dance performance that thrilled the audience.
Joined by the talented all-girl group Baby Dolls, Ysabel’s dance number set the tone for a vibrant show. The performance wasn’t just a solo act; members of the popular Hashtags group, including Zeus, CK, Kid, and Jameson, added their energy to the mix, creating an unforgettable collaboration.
This marked Ysabel’s debut appearance on “It’s Showtime,” and her presence was met with warm applause from the Kapamilya hosts, led by the affable Vice Ganda. Ryan Bang, introduced Ysabel to the enthusiastic audience, revealing that they share a close friendship.
Vice Ganda shared that they have fond memories with Ysabel and her mother, Michelle Ortega, including a shared experience of attending a BTS block screening.
Kim Chiu, one of the hosts, playfully asked Ysabel about her ideal “Kapamilya” partner.
“Kung pipili ako dito sa Showtime, syempre ang pipiliin ko na yung pinaka matagal ko na kilala, so, why not di ba si kuya Ryan”, Ysabel answered.
Ryan Bang then added a personal touch by recounting their history together. He shared that they have known each other since their high school days in 2009 and 2010. Their friendship has flourished over the years, from being schoolmates to becoming neighbors. During the pandemic, Ysabel’s mother would often cook meals for Ryan, reflecting the genuine bond they share.
While Ysabel Ortega is primarily recognized as a “Kapuso” actress, her appearance on “It’s Showtime” showcased her versatility. Presently, she is captivating audiences as Jamie Robinson in the anime series “Voltes V: Legacy.”
