Rendon has a new call to the Filipino people amidst the inappropriate price of rice, where he urges, “Pilipinas, Huwag kang susuko!” With the challenges of life today, it cannot be denied that many are dismayed by the prices of basic goods.
As a motivational speaker and someone involved in charity work, Rendon deeply feels the grievances of our fellow citizens regarding the high prices of essential commodities, especially rice, which has led to numerous complaints. In fact, Rendon’s criticism of various societal issues is significant, as her critiques of wrongdoings and ongoing events have been noticed by those in authority, leading to some actions being taken.
In her Instagram post, Labador appeals to the entire Philippines not to give up, despite the excessively high price of rice, which has reached 60 pesos per kilo in other countries. In her Instagram photo, Labador holds a scoop of rice with a backdrop that reads “motivational rice,” accompanied by the caption “Pilipinas, Huwag kang susuko!”
A netizen quickly noticed this and posted a picture of the current price of rice with the caption “Kaya pala may Motivational Rice… inihahanda na pala tayo ni Pareng Rendon sa ganitong ganap” which implies that Rendon might be preparing us for a scenario where the price of rice could reach over 100 pesos per kilo. The post is followed by the phrase “expectations vs reality,” referring to President Marcos’ promise of 20 pesos per kilo of rice, but in reality, the price increased by 20 pesos per kilo based on the regular price of rice.
