“Sa tantya ko katulad ng tantya ko noong pagkandidato ko noon ng vice president (in 2010), at the end of the day I think ay … lalamang ako ng nasa 4 na milyon,” the Inquirer quoted him saying.
Jejomar Binay told also his allies and supporters that they will not regret supporting him because the political battle is already over.
“Hindi kayo magsisisi at magkakamali ng pagsuporta at pagkampanya sa akin kasi ngayon, tapos na ang pulitika, lalo na sa national,” he said.
Jejomar Binay made the statement just days after the Social Weather Stations (SWS)-Bilang Pilipino Survey showed that he and Liberal Party bet Mar Roxas are the “least-liked” presidential candidates.
In his previous interviews, Jejomar Binay said that he doesn’t believe in pre-election surveys as they are not accurate.
Meanwhile, his presidential rivals including senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, and Senator Grace Poe are currently busy with their respective campaigns.
This year’s national election is scheduled on May 9 and will be held at the assigned Barangay Elementary schools nationwide.
