In a spreading viral video, Lu Sierra boldly stated, “That the Philippines was robbed,” referring to our representative in the Miss Universe competition, Michelle Dee. The term “robbed” trended on X, formerly known as Twitter, yesterday after Michelle Dee failed to enter the Top 5 of Miss Universe. Alongside this, two photos circulated from Miss Universe itself, where Michelle Dee was initially shown in the first photo among the top 5, but it was replaced with a new photo where she was no longer included.
Who is Lu Sierra? Lu Sierra needs no introduction; her standing in the world of pageantry and modeling is well-established. I was fortunate to get to know and work with Lu during my reign as Miss Missouri USA. She currently serves as the Miss Universe Runway Coach and an independent choreography instructor, specializing in live television.
With her expertise and wisdom, Lu is a highly sought-after teacher for young women. She has been working in the pageant world for years, and her insight and instruction are practical, insightful, and honest. Every time I talk with her, I learn something new about my own self-confidence and life journey. That’s why I’m excited to announce that Lu Sierra will be one of my celebrity guests for my Winner’s Circle program. Ladies in the Winner’s Circle will have an exclusive Q&A with Lu!
Given the strong impact of Lu’s recent comment on the just-concluded Miss Universe, Lu also praised Michelle Dee’s gown. Amidst the controversies that have arisen, the Miss Universe organization has yet to make an official statement.
