A recent news report in Inquirer stated that Hillary Clinton wanted the problem on the proliferation of fake news in the social media sites to be ‘addressed quickly’ as she referred to the ‘pizzagate story’ wherein one man entered a pizza restaurant with weapons to investigate a fake news story.
During a ceremony for Harry Reid, the outgoing leader of the Democratic Senate Minority, in Capitol Hill, Clinton emphasized the possible effects of fake news.
Speaking before the former and current lawmakers, she said, “It’s now clear that so-called fake news can have real world consequences.”
Based on the report, Clinton wanted the problem to be solved right away and she emphasized that the lives of the ‘innocent people’ should be guarded by the private and public sectors’ leaders.
The remarks of the Democrat who lost against The Republican’s Donald Trump in the recent 2016 United States Election was part of her second public speech since the day after the U.S. election when she gave her concession speech.
In her concession speech, Clinton faced her tearful supporters according to a previous news report.
