In a strongly worded online tirade, veteran talent manager and showbiz insider Ogie Diaz publicly criticized former Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque for remaining overseas while facing several issues back home in the Philippines.

Diaz’s remarks came in response to a recent report where Roque defended himself against allegations of being a fugitive, asserting, “Hindi ako pugante.” However, what drew Diaz’s ire was Roque’s controversial appeal for unity, calling on the public to come together and work toward removing Senator Risa Hontiveros from office.
“Ateng, yung suggestion mong magkapit-bisig para mapatalsik si Senator Risa Hontiveros, wag mo utusan ang mga tao,” said Diaz, taking direct aim at Roque’s intentions. The celebrity columnist accused Roque of pushing an agenda rooted in personal gain, rather than public interest.
Diaz also recalled one of Roque’s earlier public statements, where he referred to “kampon ng kadiliman vs kampon ng kasamaan.” According to Diaz, the public paid little attention to such rhetoric then, and he doubts Roque’s latest appeal will fare any better.
“Nyeta ka! Yun ngang kumpas mo ng kampon ng kadiliman vs kampon ng kasamaan, di mo na napasunod yung mga tao, eto pa kaya? Bumalik ka dito, gagah. Harapin mo kasi yung mga reklamo sa yo kung matapang ka,” Diaz blasted in his post.
The showbiz personality further claimed that Roque has no one else to blame for his situation but himself. “Walang umaapi sa yo. Ikaw ang may kagagawan kaya ka hindi makauwi,” he said, addressing Roque directly.
Diaz, known for his candid social commentary, didn’t hold back on his disappointment in what he described as Roque’s drastic transformation over the years. “Juice ko, dati ang tino-tino mo, anyare na sa yo ngayon, teh?” he asked, with a mix of sarcasm and concern.
“Parang tumatandang paurong yarn?” he added, concluding his post with a stinging remark.
The online confrontation has sparked conversations on social media, with netizens divided over Roque’s statements and Diaz’s blunt criticism. The exchange highlights growing frustrations among public figures and citizens alike regarding accountability and political posturing.
