Former ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ housemate JB Magsaysay revealed the reason why he left show business after some stints in the industry.
JB Magsaysay was among the first batch of housemates that entered the ‘Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB) house.
In the said Season 1 of the Kapamilya reality show, he is considered to be the resident bad boy and caught the heart of his fellow housemate Say Alonza in just an instance.
When his PBB stint ended, he tried acting in some of the TV series in ABS-CBN, including ‘Nginiig’, OK Fine Whatever, Y Speak, Star Magic Presents’ and ‘Palos’.
He was also included in the movie of Bong Revilla Jr. ‘Ang Panday’ in 2009.
However, there was a time that JB decided to leave the glitz and glamour of show business.
According to him he tried acting but he felt that there is something else meant for him.
“I’ve tried [acting] for a while. But maybe the Lord has other plans for me,” the former PBB housemate revealed, based on the article published on the site of Star Cinema.
He added, “I kinda veered away from show business and just live a private life.”
From show business, JB Magsaysay found a career in politics. He now serves as a barangay captain in La Union.
Aside from that, he also plays the role of a stepfather of newlywed actress Coleen Garcia.
Although it has been years since he left the limelight, JB said that he still keeps in touch with his former fellow PBB housemates.
He said that they still have a good relationship with each other and that if ever having the chance they talk to them every now and then.
“I get to see Nene [Tamayo] once in a while. Also I get to message with Uma [Khouny] once in a while, sila Sam [Milby]… Everything’s fine. Everyone’s okay,” he said based on the source.
