Presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte explained cursing during campaign rallies. The outgoing Davao City Mayor is known for using expletives on his campaign speeches.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the president-elect said that it’s only part of his political strategy.
Asked what he can say about it, Duterte simply answered: “Iyan ang gusto nila.” He was referring to his supporters who enjoy listening to his speeches.
The tough-talking political also wondered why he won with a lead of 7 million against his closest rival, administration bet Mar Roxas even if he has an image of a “bad boy.”
“Bakit ako nag-margin ng 7 million? Kung bastos ako? Kung nagmumura ako? Kung bad boy ako? Why?” he asked.
Meanwhile, Duterte said that he will be tolerant of critics on his incoming administration as he already used to it, citing that he has been a Mayor for 22 years.
He also added that he will not go after his critics and political rivals since it is the job of the Office of Obudsman.
“I am not the kind who would pursue political enemies. Do not expect me na hahabulin. Hindi ko trabaho yan, trabaho ng Ombudsman yan,” he was quoted saying.
Duterte will assume the presidency starting June 30. He recently said that he wants a simple inauguration and he want to take the oath alone.
Duterte has already presented some of his plans and has named several members of his cabinet.
