For the very first time, the incoming President of the Republic of the Philippines, Pres. Duterte meets with his Cabinet Members outside of Davao City. The meeting between the outgoing mayor of Davao City and the members of his Cabinet was held inside the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.
During the meeting between Pres. Duterte and his Cabinet members, the members of the media were not allowed inside the venue and they had to stake out across the street fronting the main lobby of PICC.
Before the meeting of the Duterte Cabinet, Presidential Communications Operations Office chief Martin Andanar told reporters that he and incoming Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea would answer questions from the media after the meeting.
The meeting began past 6:00 PM after Mayor Duterte arrived via chopper from Bataan. In an interview with the media, PCOO Chief Andanar said that as far as he knew, all available incoming members of the Cabinet were called for the meeting, but the agenda of the meeting was unclear.
Executive secretary Medialdea also told the media that the meeting could propably for members of the Cabinet to get to know each other, because most of the appointees were yet to be introduced to each other.
Based upon the latest updates on the list of President Duterte’s Cabinet Members, they includes the following personalities: DOJ Sec. Vitaliano Aguirre, DepEd Sec. Leonor Briones, DBM Sec. Ben Diokno, DSWD Sec. Judy Taguiwalo, DPWH Sec. Mark Villar, DFA Sec. Perfecto Yasay Jr., DOTC Sec. Arthur Tugade, Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez, Agriculture Sec. Manny Pinol, and Executive Sec. Salvador Medialdea to name a few.
Other members of the Duterte Cabinet includes Philippine National Police chief Ronald dela Rosa, and Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Dureza who is now in Oslo, Norway for some preliminary talks with the Filipino communist rebel leaders.
