Maine Mendoza was currently open to the possibility of working with Arjo Atayde, an actor who was currently linked to her, in an upcoming project.
“Sana po,” Maine Mendoza said during the media conference of Mission Unstapabol. “Kasi mayroon din siyang sinusulat na istorya… at nagpo-produce na rin naman siya.“
During the said conference, Maine admitted that she initiated the dinner along with the Atayde family.

“Napag-usapan lang po before kasi hindi na po nasundan ‘yung na-meet ko ‘yung parents sa bahay nila,” she shared. “Ang nagsakto pa na ‘yung two movies and nagse-segue ako so parang sinabi ko lang kay Arjo na, ‘Ito na. Mayroon na. May free time na. Dinner na tayo.’“
Meanwhile, Maine shrugged off about the bashing that Sylvia Sanchez, mother of Arjo Atayde, received after netizens accusing Sylvia over faking a photo that Sylvia shared on social media about the said dinner. “Oo nga po, eh… Edited daw talaga,” she said.
Maine said that she was still happy with their current status. She also said that Arjo and her siblings became close to each other.
“Opo, sobra. Mas close pa nga sila ng kapatid ko kaysa sa ‘kin,” she said. “Ganoon po ‘yung na-establish niyang relationship sa mga kapatid ko.“
When asked about being open with Arjo in terms of their relationship, she answered, “Eh kasi wala naman na pong dapat itago. ‘Yun lang. Open naman na po kami.“
