Residents Mobbed at Arjo Atayde as He Visits Squatter Area in QC
Actor-turned-politician Arjo Atayde was mobbed by residents after he visits a squatter area in Quezon City.
On Monday morning, residents of Barangay Bagong Pag-asa in Quezon City surrounded People’s Service Party (SBP) congressman candidate Arjo Atayde. Based on the report, Atayde and his followers went to Sitio San Roque 1 and 2 after 10:00 a.m. to persuade voters to vote for him in the city’s District 1 election.
It also promised to assist individuals impacted by the coronavirus disease pandemic of 2019 (Covid-19) and introduce legislation that would benefit the city’s citizens. Atayde began assisting his area in 2021 when he distributed 20 service trucks to the city’s barangays.
It has also renovated basketball facilities for the benefit of the youngsters in several regions of the city. Atayde will oppose Anthony Peter “Onyx” Crisologo (Lakas-CMD), the son of former QC Rep. Vincent “Bingbong” Crisologo, in the 1st District.
Meanwhile, Arjo’s uncle, Dan Atayde, is running for Bacolod City congressman. Atayde joined the Grupo Progreso (GP) three months after the mayor originally identified him as the group’s adopted candidate at the Bacolod Public Plaza illumination ceremony in December 2021.
With his accession to the organization, he believes they can win the election by a margin of 15-0 in May. According to Leonardia, Atayde arrived to Bacolod 30 years ago to work, study business, and marry, as opposed to other candidates who came to the city solely to seek an election position.
