The Federal Bureau of Investigation will not prosecute Brad Pitt over alleged altercation with son Maddox.
The FBI has decided that Brad Pitt will not be prosecuted over an alleged altercation with his son Maddox, saying that the agency should not have been involved in the first place.
The case allegedly stemmed on a situation where Pitt was on a private jet flying from France to Los Angeles with his wife, Angeline Jolie, and children when he started screaming.
Days later it has been reported, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce. Today, Jolie has transferred into a new mansion after filing the complaint.
Before it was turned over to FBI, the allegations were looked into by the LA County Department of Children and Family Services. They looked into allegations that Brad physically abused Maddox and notified the LAPD.
Law enforcement sources said the FBI never started an official investigation because they saw that the agency should not have been involved in the first place.
The agency said in a statement last week, ‘the FBI is continuing to gather facts and will evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued.’
Sources close to Jolie revealed that the actress would refuse to cooperate with police if Pitt was prosecuted, but that was never going to happen.
Some law enforcement sources said the case will not move forward, and that originally, the incident should have never been referred to the FBI.
The 15-year-old Maddox was not injured on the said incident and law enforcement sources said there was ‘no way to conclusively prove Brad intentionally inflicted harm on his son.’
US Weekly earlier reported that cameras at International Falls Airport of Minnesota captured the argument between Maddox and Pitt, while the private jet touched down for a refueling stop on the way to Los Angeles.
On the other hand, a source who saw the video claims: ‘Brad is seen yelling a lot during it, but nothing physical.’
