Carla Abellana, also known as Carla Angeline Reyes Abellana, has been recognized as a big star in the Kapuso network GMA7, starting from 2009 when she auditioned for a role in the television series “Zorro.” However, she was given the lead role of Rosalinda. Even before appearing on television, her career began as a model for various TV commercials, including CreamSilk Leave-on in 2002 and Palmolive Conditioner in 2005.
She also had contracts under Regal Films and starred in a few films where she received awards. She became a host for several shows and appeared in numerous television series under the GMA network. She gained significant popularity through the series “My Husband’s Lover,” where her love team with former partner Tom Rodriguez started. This was followed by “My Destiny.”
Their on-screen chemistry eventually led to a real-life relationship, and Carla and Tom Rodriguez got married in October 2021. However, they separated due to alleged third-party involvement. After this, Tom’s reported vacation in America and his break from showbiz for a couple of years made headlines. Recently, there have been speculations about his return to the country and his involvement in new television series.
Both Tom and Carla are under the management of Popoy Caritativo, and Carla’s departure from this management was reported, followed by her signing with “All Access to Artists” (AAA).
