It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda shared the first awkward encounter he had with a respected personality
During the recent episode of the Kapamilya noontime show, Vice shared that unforgettable moment.
As he and Anne Curtis was interviewing the Tawag ng Tanghalan contestant, the comedian-host recalled the time when he first met Jose Mari Chan.
He said that it was during the wedding reception of Karylle and husband Yael Yuson.
According to Vice, when the food was about to be served, he felt the need to go to the comfort room.

“Eh ‘di inaantay ‘yung mga pagkain, eh nasi-CR ako. Sabi ko sa kasama kong bakla, ‘Bakla, samahan mo ‘ko, CR tayo,” he shared.
When Vice was finished, he went near a cubicle to call his gay friend.
“Pag-labas ko dun sa cubicle, ‘Bakla, ang tagal mo,’ sabi ko dun sa kaibigan ko, kasi mag-isa na lang ako. ‘Ang tagal mo, tapos na ako, ikaw pa inaantay ko ngayon.’ Tapos ‘di sumasagot.” he related.
Vice even said that he knocked on the door of the cubicle so hard.
When there was still no answer, the comedian got a dipper full of water and threw it on the person’s feet inside the cubicle.
Still, there was no answer so Vice continued urging his supposed friend to hurry up.

And when he saw that it was Jose Mari Chan with soaking wet clothes, the comedian wanted to disappear right there and then.
“Gusto kong lumubog sa lupa at mamatay na lang… Siyempre, respetado ‘yon… Kaya talaga, tuwing Pasko, ako ang unang nagpapatugtog ng mga kanta niya, bilang pagbibigay-galang,” the host shared.
So, after that awkward incident, Vice Ganda said that he is the first person who listens to the Christmas songs of Jose Mari Chan when the holiday season comes.
