Former daring actress Cristina Gonzalez is living this kind of life now away from the glitz and glamour of Philippine showbiz.
She was known as one of the ladies who wore the iconic red bikini as the White Castle Calendar Girl. During that era, she was hailed as one of the most popular daring stars. Indeed, her mestiza look captured the hearts of her fans.
Cristina did a lot of movies during the height of her showbiz career. The last films that she did were Grepor Butch Belgica Story (1995), Matinik na Kalaban (1995), and Bagamundo (1996). In 1993, she was involved in a controversy called Brunei Beauties. Her name was linked to the alleged prostitution that happened.

She got married to Alfred Romualdez and they are blessed with two daughters. Alfred is the nephew of former first lady Imelda Marcos and so it was not a thing to be wondered about when Cristina also ventured into politics. She served as a councilor in Tacloban from 2007 to 2016. Then, she became the mayor for one term from 2016 to 2019.
Cristina Gonzalez and her family went through a tough time when typhoon Yolanda hit the provinces in the Visayas. Because of this, her daughter Sofia got traumatized. In order to cope up with the trauma, Sofia found her interest in singing and as a mother, Cristina is full support on this.
