Alex Gonzaga shared that there was a “paglalayas” moment which happened to her during childhood because of her sister Toni Gonzaga.
‘I Can See Your Voice’ panelist Alex Gonzaga shared a story during her childhood when she almost left their home because of her older sister ‘Home Sweetie Home’ actress Toni Gonzaga.
During the recent guesting of the celebrity siblings in a morning talk show, they revealed their love-hate relationship when they were younger.
According to Alex, there was a time that she had a “paglalayas” moment. She thought that Toni was making her childhood life miserable.
Because of that, she said she decided to leave but a bit hesitant because she had nowhere to go to.
“Pagbaba ko aalis na talaga ako. Sabi niya, ‘Umalis ka na.’ So umalis ako dahan-dahan. Pero ‘di ko alam kung saan ako pupunta,” Alex related.
When she was about to get out of their gate, her mother and father came home.
“Noong nasa gate ko, buti na lang dumating sina mommy at daddy. ‘Catherine, saan ka pupunta?’ Sabi ko, ‘Lalayas na ako.’ ‘Bumalik ka doon.’ Buti na lang dumating si Mommy at Daddy kung hindi lalayas talaga ako,” the younger Gonzaga continued the story.
Toni also shared an anecdote during their childhood and it was about the diary of her younger sister.
She said during the interview that their mother cried when she read what was written on it.
Alex wrote her “most hated creatures” in her diary and Mommy Pinty was on the number two spot while Toni was the number one.
Toni asked her mother why she had to cry over that when their youngest wrote that at the age of 5 or 6.
“Sabi ko, ‘Mommy, bakit mo pa dinadamdam ‘yan?’ Ilang taon lang si Catherine noon five, six (years old)? Ano naman ang alam niya sa mundo? Sabi niya, ‘Hoy! Nandoon ka rin, number one ka, demonyita ang tawag sa iyo.’ Gusto rin niya na magalit ako kay Alex,” Toni recalled with jest.
