Columnist Explains Side On “FAMAS: Vice, Naunahan Pa Si Vic Sa Dolphy Award” Article

Columnist of PEP Gorgy Rula explains his side on article with “FAMAS: Vice, Naunahan Pa Si Vic Sa Dolphy Award” after Vice Ganda tweeted about it.

Host and comedian of the Kapamilya network Vice Ganda recently expressed his thoughts regarding a columnist who penned an article implicating that he does not deserve to be the first ever recipient of FAMAS’ Dolphy Lifetime Achievement Award.

It can be recalled that there were write ups that said it should be Kapuso comedian and ‘Eat Bulaga’ host Vic Sotto who will receive the award first before it will be given to the Kapamilya comedian, based on a previous article.

With regards to this, Vice Ganda took to Twitter his answer to the article with the title “FAMAS: Vice, naunahan pa si Vic sa Dolphy award; Dingdong pang-best actor, Aga pang-supporting actor lang” and was written by Gorgy Rula.

The said columnist from PEP answered the series of Twitter post from ‘GGV’ host in the article that PEP Troika published just recently.

Based on the statement of Rula, his comment that Vic should be the first to receive the Dolphy award is because of the connection of the King of Comedy to the Prince of Comedy.

He also said that because of the connection between the two comedy icons, the first person that entered his mind to be granted the Dolphy Lifetime Achievement Award was Bossing.

“Iyon po ay opinyon ko lamang. Pwedeng ayunan o kontrahin,” the columnist said.

The other factor that he cited that pointed out Vic deserves the Dolphy award was the recognition given to Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon three years ago as the recipients of FAMAS Lifetime Achievement Award.

Rula stressed out that the famous trio was recognized through their contribution in the field of comedy and hosting which made him conclude that Vic deserves now the award that will be given to Vice Ganda.

He also said that he did not say that the ‘It’s Showtime’ host does not deserve it but for him it should be given to Vic first.

The columnist also said in his article that he was surprised that someone like Vice Ganda took an effort to tweet about him when he is not popular.
