Why does Glydel Mercado loves doing projects under the GMA-7?
GLYDEL MERCADO – Kapuso actress Glydel Mercado admitted that she prefers doing projects under the GMA-7 than the ABS-CBN network.
Award-winning actress and singer Glydel Mercado is one of the few celebrities who has experienced both being a Kapamilya and a Kapuso. He is the wife of actor Tonton Gutierrez.
Based on a recent report in Pep, Glydel did projects under the ABS-CBN network before she got pregnant in 2011. She was part of Momay and Sabel in 2010 and My Binondo Girl in 2011.
According to the report, after she gave birth in 2011, she started doing projects under the GMA-7. Among those that she has done are the Hindi Ka Na Mag-Iisa in 2012, the Unforgettable in 2013, the My Husband’s Lover in 2013, and the Rhodora X and Ang Lihim Ni Annasandra in 2014.
In 2015, Glydel Mercado became part of The Rich Man’s Daughter. The actress was part of the Wish I May and the Sinungaling Mong Puso in 2016 and the My Love From The Star in 2017.
Based on the report, in an interview with the source, the 42-year-old actress admitted that she feels more at home when she is working in the Kapuso environment.
According to her, she feels more “homey” with the staff and the executive producers of GMA-7. She revealed that many of the Kapuso executive producers are her friends that is why she feels at home.
Meanwhile, the actress clarified that she also enjoyed working as a Kapamilya. However, she admitted that much effort is really there.
“Parang sobrang effort – as in, effort na effort talaga yung ABS [-CBN],” she said.
Based on the report, Glydel Mercado clarified that she still wants to do Kapamilya projects but she prefers the working environment in the Kapuso network where it is relaxed.
“Doon talaga kasi kailangang paulit-ulit, which is okay naman dahil maganda yung quality. Pero mas gusto ko yung ganito lang, kasi relaxed, kasi tumatanda na tayo siyempre… Ayoko noong nai-istress,” she said.
Glydel Mercado’s contract with the GMA-7 has already expired and she has yet to renew it. Meanwhile, she is grateful that the Kapuso network has offered her a new show. She is going to be part of the GMA-7’s television series The Stepdaughters.
