The setting of the said film was based on a controversial incident which happened to Chiong sisters decades ago.
Based on the article published in Bandera under the column of entertainment writer Alex Brosas, Meg Imperial received criticisms for accepting the role of one of the Chiong sisters.
In line with this, the actress seemed answered back some of her bashers basing on comments from other netizens.
There was one who said that prior in doing the movie, the actress should have anticipated that there is a possibility she will criticized.

Those words were indeed harsh but some netizens still showed support to Meg Imperial and her controversial movie.
