Cesar Montano and Son Diego Loyzaga to Play as Ferdinand Marcos Sr, Bongbong Marcos
Action star Cesar Montano will play as former president Ferdinand Marcos Sr and his son Diego Loyzaga as Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
The late former President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr. will be played by the award-winning actor, while his son Diego will play Marcos Jr. After controversial director Darryl Yap uploaded a photo of himself, this indication was disclosed.
Two televisions can be seen on the back of the photo, with a photo of the actor and his father and a description of the role they would perform. Ruffa Gutierrez, the beauty queen-turned-actress who would play former First Lady Imelda Marcos, was previously shown in a trailer.
The meeting will take place in 1986, and the film will depict “the last 72 hours of the Marcoses within the Palace through the eyes of one reputable source.” The names of Toni Gonzaga and Juliana Parizcova Segovia, who are expected to appear at the event, have been announced based on reports on social media.
According to Yap, VIVA films has already confirmed his project. The director also thanked the company’s leaders, including del Rosarios, Tita June Torrejon-Rufino, and the entire management team.
The goal of the video is to show the audience what transpired in Malacanang 72 hours before the EDSA People Power Revolution, which toppled former president Ferdinand Marcos Sr, father of president-elect Bongbong Marcos. They will only tell the Marcoses’ account, so it cannot be labeled historical revisionism.
