Duterte Supporters Hint “Sabotage” After DPWH Digs Up Luneta Grounds Ahead Final Rally

Ground works in front of the grandstand area of Luneta Park, a sabotage?

Supporters of presidential race front-runner Rodrigo Duterte hinted “sabotage” over the work of Department of Public Works and Highways on the grounds of Luneta Park in Manila, where the final rally or miting de avance of the Davao City Mayor will be held.

Luneta-Ground Work

Duterte supporters went outrage over the photos of the ground works in front of the grandstand area of Luneta which were first shared on social media.

Some netizens particularly the avid supporters of Duterte reacted on the said ground work including blogger and dancer Mocha Uson who called it “another desperate move”.

Based upon a report of Erwin Tulfo of News5 via an article published by Interaksyon.com, the men operating the heavy equipment, doing the ground work in Luneta were from the Department of Public Works and Highways and according to them, they don’t have the idea what was the work for.

Rico Mendoza of the planning department of Luneta Park earlier disclosed that the ground work had long been scheduled. The site was renovated “and now the grass can’t grow” for a carnival will be installed there.

He also denied the speculated sabotage on the final pre-election rally of tough-talking mayor Rodrigo Duterte.

The final campaign sortie or miting de avance of the PDP-Laban standard-bearer will be held at historic Luneta Park on Saturday, May 7, 2016.

What can you say about this? Is it sabotage or just timely?
