DLSU-CSB Student Video About Election. Must Watch

DLSU-CSB Student’s Video For Election

DLSU-CSB Student: The Philippines is a promised land full of hope. But today, it seems like it is now greatly divided because of Election. The choice of presidential candidates has led to Filipino people to a kind of disunity. And because of this choice, we are now facing a great chaos in our relationship with each other brought to us by unverified information that rapidly spread from platform to platform.

With what is happening today, with what people heard today, and with what people sees today, a lot of us are now coming to quick yet bias conclusions, with many people also defending their choice of candidates by way of insulting and personal attacking…narrow-minded arguments, which results to broken friendships and ties.

Personal conflict is now arising among everyone as pressure builds high to finally reach the sound of success. And as election is fast approaching, one student from De La Salle-College of St. Benilde (DLSU-CSB) tried to sway the current commotion of judging by not urging to vote for a specific candidate, but by urging to make a wise, intelligent, and honest decision on the election day.

A Multimedia Arts Students at DLSU-CSB, Terrence Jan Requiron appeals to everyone for cooperating to ensure that this year’s election be truthful, honest, and clean. With this, he made a video “Bantayan ang Boto” to point out that whatever the outcome on May 9 is, it will greatly affect and define our future.

In the caption of his creation, the DLSU-CSB student said:

“TO ALL FILIPINO VOTERS

I decided to work on a music video to relay this message to my countrymen. This is not about any candidate, any political party, or any person.

This is about us, Filipinos.

On May 9, we are choosing our leaders. These are leaders who will drive our country for the years to come. These are leaders who will determine the kind of future that I, and the rest of us, will have.

I will be graduating this October. I look forward to work for my future. The choices that our country will make next week are significant to my dreams and ambitions.

It is not about who will win and should not win. It is about who the entire nation really wants to lead our beloved country. Let the voice of the majority, through clean, honest and truthful election process, prevail.

There should be no room for cheating. There should be no room for manipulation. There should be no room to destroy one another.

The clean and rightful choices we make will be our country’s success.

Bantayan po natin ang ating mga boto.

Ang malinis na halalan ay tagumpay nating lahat.

God bless the Philippines!”
