No Pokemon Go to Hiroshima Memorial Site.
HIROSHIMA – The city wants the creator of the trending online game, Pokemon Go to spare their memorial site from the monsters in the game.
In the request of the local government of Hiroshima, it was clearly stated that there shall be no Pokemon, or pocket monsters in full, to enter memorial site on August 6, 2016 in respect to the Hiroshima Bombing anniversary.
The Atomic Bomb Dome located in the city is one of the “gyms” of Pokemon Go which makes it flooded by gamers to catch a Pokemon.
Previously, the operator of the Fukushima Nuclear Plant which was devastated by tsunami on 2011 appealed to spare their plant from monsters because of the intense level of radiation.
The Supreme Court of Japan has also ordered the creator of Pokemon Go to remove the monsters ‘scattered’ nearby because playing games near the judicial grounds is inappropriate.
Pokémon Go is a free-to-play location-based, augmented reality game developed by Niantic for iOS and Android devices. It was released in most regions of the world in July 2016.
In the game, players use the smart device’s GPS and camera to capture, battle, and train virtual creatures, called Pokémon, who appear on the screen as if they were in the same real-world location as the player. The game supports in-app purchases, which are used for additional gameplay items.
It was based on the Japanese anime television series ‘Pokemon’ which is split up into five chronologically sequential series in Japan, split up by the version of the video game series the anime takes inspiration from: the original series, the Advanced Generation series, the Diamond & Pearl series, the Best Wishes! series, and currently the XY series which began in October 2013.
In the international broadcasts, these five series are split into 19 separate seasons.
