Julio Diaz Urgently Needs A Brain Surgery.
Julio Diaz’s sister, Ana Marie Datuin, announced on social media the need of the veteran actor for financial assistance to respond to an urgent call for a brain surgery.
April 8, suffering from an immense headache, the 57-year-old actor was brought to a hospital. A CT scan of his brain found a vein inflammation as the cause of the tremendous pain he felt.
“A CT Scan showed the swelling of a vein that needs surgery within the next 24-48 hours,” Ana Marie Datuin said in appeal at gofundme.com.
The actor is currently admitted at St. Lukes Hospital in Taguig as updated by his sister on Sunday, April 10.
“Here’s some good news. Julio has been admitted at St. Luke’s hospital in Global City. According to Dr. Cuanang the plan is to perform by 1 p.m. Manila time (1pm EST), an angiogram and possible clamping. If this procedure does not work, then they will proceed with the surgery. We ask for your prayers that the 1st procedure will be successful. Thank you all,” her post said.
Further, Diaz’s sister pleaded to those who have generous hearts who can help her brother, Julio, who is partially retired from the industry of actors and actresses and is spending his humble days in Bulacan together with his sister.
The 80’s and 90’s were the shining years of the said actor. His roles in the movies “Bayani” and “Sakay” made a great impact in the showbiz industry and undoubtedly left a mark. He’s also known for his roles in “Kinatay” (2009) and “Serbis” (2008). He recently became a part of an episode of the GMA’s “Dear Uge” and “FPJ’s Ang Probinsiyano”, ABS-CBN’s soap opera.
