Maine Mendoza, the Queen of Philippine Dubsmash and the other half of phenomenal love team, “AlDUb” captured the attention of a US News website and noted that she has something in common with internationally acclaimed star Jennifer Lawrence.
The Dubsmasher-turned-celebrity caught the attention of “Morning News USA” over AlDub’s piling endorsement in an article entitled, “Aldub’s Maine Mendoza Or ‘Yaya Dub,’ Hunger Games’ Jennifer Lawrence Have Something In Common—Unfortunately!”
But how much do you think is Maine Mendoza or Yaya Dub’s talent fee compared to ultimate heartthrob Alden Richards?
According to Philippine Daily Inquirer, the highly-popular loveteam who rose to fame in the Kalyeserye portion of “Juan for All, All for Juan” segment of longest running noontime show, Eat Bulaga has already earned a whooping $4.5 million or 200 million pesos coming from their 41 product endorsements.
“Mga P5 million si Alden, P1.5 million si Maine,” Inquirer’s source noted as per agreement for AlDub’s series of ads for a fast food chain.
What do you think is the reason why the US news website stated that Maine Mendoza has something in common with Jennifer Lawrence.
“This is why we said she and Jennifer Lawrence have something big in common—the industry they belonged to just could not recognize gender equality when it comes to wages,” the site noted.
The site cited J Law’s discovery in December 2014 with regards to hacked emails of Sony Pictures over her much lesser talent fees compared to fellow “American Hustle” stars Bradley Cooper and Christian Bale.
The Hunger Games star even wrote an open letter via website Lenny Letter at that time questioning the discrepancy with their talent fees.
Maine Mendoza who first came to prominence with her viral Dubsmash videos has yet to issue a statement with regards to their talent fee “issue”.
