Just like in the 2018 pageant in Bangkok, where the first-ever transgender queen, Angela Ponce of Spain, competed, two other transgender queens will be competing this year. They are Miss Universe Netherlands 2023 Rikkie Kolle and Miss Universe Portugal 2023 Marina Machete.

The inclusion of both men and women in the selection committee is of great importance as it provides diverse perspectives and opportunities for participants to showcase their true beauty and intelligence. It also demonstrates the progress and growth of the Miss Universe pageant worldwide.

Currently, this pageant continues to search for and provide opportunities for women to display their talents, charisma, and advocacies. The inclusion of transgender queens is a significant step in acknowledging and appreciating the diversity of beauty and culture around the world.

In conclusion, the upcoming 72nd edition of Miss Universe in El Salvador is a historic occasion that will inspire and offer hope to women and all participants. The presence of both men and women in the selection committee signifies unity and support for women’s aspirations and the Miss Universe organization as a whole.
