MMFF 2017 List Of Top 4 Movies With Highest Earnings

Here are the Top 4 movies which are the highest earners during the MMFF 2017

The recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival or MMFF 2017 set a new record in the history of the film fest in the country.

Reportedly, it has reached its P1 billion mark this year and it continues to increase because some of the entries are still showing in some cinemas.

It was revealed by the MMFF Executive Committee during their thanksgiving party for the success of last year’s film fest.

The eight entries for 2017 reached a total of P1.5 billion gross income in total, based on the report of The Summit Express.

The top 4 movies which earned the highest income for last year’s MMFF are:

1. The Revenger Squad (Vice Ganda, Daniel Padilla, Pia Wurtzbach, Karla Estrada)
2. Ang Panday (Coco Martin)
3. Siargao (Erich Gonzales, Jasmine Curtis, Jericho Rosales)
4. Haunted Forest (Jane Oineza, Maris Racal, Jon Lucas)

Vice Ganda’s entry earned the biggest part of the total income which is P500 million while it is a bit surprising that the entry of Bossing Vic Sotto ‘Meant To Beh’ did not reach it to the Top 4.

According to Vice Chairman of MMFF selection committee Bing Advincula, 60 percent of the gross income was attributed to the fantasy/action movie of the Kapamilya comedian and the movie entry of Coco Martin, ‘Ang Panday’.

On the other hand, the rest of the movies in the bottom four are still doing well because all of them earned more than P30 million.

Noel Ferrer, the spokesperson of MMFF stated how happy they are and the people behind all the entries because those who are not in the Top 4 still earned high.

“Normally, may nagsi-single digit [na box-office performance] yung lowest. Yung lowest na ito, matter of millions lang ang difference. More than P30 million ang nakuha nung nasa bottom four,” Ferrer said, based on the report.
