The actress-comedian was crowned Miss Philippines Tourism 2023 and she will be representing the country in the international pageant. Despite not winning the top prize, she is pleased with her victory.
She committed to working hard in the international competition to win the pageant’s crown for the Philippines. She will also bring an interpreter as she did in the national competition.
While she was thrilled, many people noted her expression when she was named Miss Philippines Tourism 2023. She had a flat, emotionless expression on her face. Even a small smile is missing.
A Facebook user has posted a photo of this moment and captioned her post, “Bakit malungkot ang beshie ko?” In a reply, Herlene expressed, “Kase sinayang ni angkol kaya Sa ms tourism tayo tatambling ng bongga.”
Netizens booed Herlene as she appeared to be disappointed about not winning the crown. Some netizens predicted Budol’s reaction and even referred to her as “mayabang” and “ungrateful.”
