In the ongoing clash between Vice Ganda and Cristy Fermin, some netizens have observed potential violations in Cristy Fermin’s statements against Vice Ganda. This has prompted the attention of MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto and the KAPISANAN NG SOCIAL MEDIA SA PILIPINAS (KSMP). One netizen even labeled it as cyberbullying and discrimination towards the LGBTQ+ community.
The conflict began when Cristy Fermin jokingly uttered words to a contestant on their show “Me Choose Me Choose,” asking, “ano pang pinagkakaabalahan mo bukod sa paggawa ng mga KASINUNGALINGAN?” This seemingly affected Cristy, as Vice Ganda interpreted it as a veiled accusation.
In response, Fermin quickly retaliated, stating “Vice Ganda hindi ka tunay Babae! lalaki ka Vice!Lalaki ka Vice Ganda!Nagpapanggap ka lang na babae!” She further mentioned a scenario on the street where, according to her, Vice Ganda would be called by nature, turn around, and urinate on a tree. If men pass by, they would tease him, saying, “Hoy Humarap ka wag kang tumalikod Traidor ka!” ” Despite this, Fermin expressed respect for the LGBTQ+ community.
However, some found Fermin’s words against Vice unacceptable, deeming it cyberbullying and discrimination due to the hurtful language used.
Fermin clarified that she only wanted Vice Ganda to confront her directly instead of making indirect insinuations that made her feel like a traitor. These statements were made in an interview.
