Former TV5 Star Ritz Azul Signs Contract with ABS-CBN, Now a Kapamilya

Former TV5 star Ritz Azul is now a Kapamilya after she signed a two-year exclusive contract with the country’s largest network, ABS-CBN on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.

Ritz Azul was accompanied by her father Richard Azul during her contract signing along with Dreamscape unit head Deo Endrinal, Star Magic head Johnny Manahan, ABS-CBN TV production head Lauren Dyogi, ABS-CBN COO Cory Vidanes and  ABS-CBN president Carlo Katigbak.

According to the Instagram account of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications, the first project of the former Kapatid talent is via primetime series, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” which also stars with Coco Martin.

Asked how does it feel to become a Kapamilya talent she said,  “Out of words po ako. Sobrang blessed at sobrang saya po.”

The 22-year-old actress and television host came to prominence after winning runner-up spot on TV5 celebrity search, “Star Factor” in 2010.

As a talent of Manny V. Pangilinan-chaired network, he was known as one of the TV5 Primetime Princesses along with Eula Caballero, Jasmine Curtis-Smith and former Kapatid talents, Alex Gonzaga and Arci Muñoz.

Ritz Azul has starred in several top-rating series namely; Glamorosa Giselle Evangelista / Giselle Marciano in 2011, Misibis Bay as Maita Ramirez in 2013, and For Love or Money as Roselle Villanueva in 2013.

According to, her contract with TV5 ended last January 2016.

But before she signed a two-year exclusive contract with ABS-CBN, she starred in top-rating GMA-7 series including “Ismol Family” and “Bubble Gang”.
