Robin Padilla’s Daughter Queenie Pours Out Her Sentiment

ROBIN PADILLA – Queenie Padilla reacted to the negative comment to her father Robin Padilla following his request to a Korean contestant in Pilipinas Got Talent.

PGT judge Robin Padilla requesting a Korean contestant named Jiwan Kim to speak in Tagalog gathered various reactions from the viewers and the netizens. The Korean contestant has been living in the Philippines for several years already.

Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin who was also a judge in the ABS-CBN talent search show alongside with Vice Ganda and Mr. Freddie M. Garcia was the one who tried to balance the atmosphere in the studio during that time.

Angel tried to help Jiwan speak in Tagalog as he asks Robin’s participation in doing his magic tricks. Based on a report, PGT host Billy Crawford admitted that they were tense during that time.

There were people who expressed support to Robin Padilla stressing that Jiwan’s length of stay in the country for him not to learn how to speak Tagalog is already long enough while there were those who bashed the action star and posted hate comments about him.

Recently, on her Instagram account, the PGT host’s daughter Queenie Padilla aired out her sentiment on a negative tag to her father.

Queenie raised a question in her post stressing her father calling the Korean contestant “anak” and hugging him. She also stated that Jiwan has asked his father in an “improper way”.

On her post, the action star’s daughter clarified that Robin Padilla’s tone may be “harsh” but that is the way he speaks even to his own children when he disciplines them. She stressed that it is not because he hates the Korean contestant.

Queenie Padilla ended her post by encouraging the people to see the situation the way it ended and not how it began.

Calling my father a racist, is wrong. My father called Ji-Wan “anak” and hugged him. Is that an act of racism? Look at it this way, Ji-Wan asked Papa in an improper way, “can I use you?.” I know Ji-Wan may have meant well and may have been nervous but I think that’s where my dad got offended. That in itself is disrespectful whether or not my father is who he is, Ji-Wan is younger than him. We should show respect to our elders. The right way would have been to ask, “can you please help me?” As for my father, the tone of my dad may have been harsh towards Ji-Wan but that’s the way my father is, even when he is disciplining us [his children]. It’s not because my dad is hating on him, my dad just expected more from him since, he grew up in the Philippines. They both meant well. I think we should define this situation how it ended, not how it started. #Love #Peace #Unity #pilipinasgottalent2018
