After their two-week suspension, the favorite noontime show “It’s Showtime” made a strong comeback with its hosts trending on various social media platforms. The show returned to the airwaves earlier this morning, on October 28.
“Yes, we’re here, and we missed you so much, Madlang People!” greeted Vice Ganda. “The 12 days are over. We missed each other. The comeback is real,” he added.
He was joined on stage during his opening spiel by his fellow hosts, including Anne Curtis, Ogie Alcasid, Kim Chiu, Karylle, Amy Perez, Ryan Bang, Ion Perez, and Jhong Hilario. In addition to the show’s regular segments, they also announced the very first Mini Miss U winner, Arianah Kelsey.
The beleaguered noontime show attracted attention from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) following complaints from viewers, including the July 25, 2023 episode where hosts, including the real-life couple Vice Ganda and Ion Perez, were seen eating cake icing using their fingers.
Despite these controversies, the success of “It’s Showtime” was unstoppable upon its return. The program continued to bring joy and entertainment to its audience, proving itself as one of the favorite TV shows among Filipinos. In the days to come, it is expected that the show’s performances will become even more colorful and joyful, as it continues to deliver happiness and inspiration to its viewers.
