The “It’s Showtime” host will hold the concert to make up for his cancelled performance during the victory party of former Davao City Mayor last month.
Vice Ganda was forced to cancel his performance at the victory party dubbed as “DU31: One Love, One Nation Thanksgiving Party” at Davao City’s Crocodile Park due to power outage and heavy rains.
On that Day, Vice Ganda aired his disappointment on the micro-blogging site Twitter.
“Hindi man nakapag-perform dahil sumabog ang kuryente okay lang. Sapat na sa akin ang nagkita-kita tayo, nagkawayan at nagkamayan,” he wrote.
The free concert does not have a proposed date yet, according to ABS-CBN News report.
Vice Ganda supported President Duterte during the campaign, but he remained silent about it. He was not seen on Duterte’s campaign rallies and he was not heard declaring his president.
On June 30, President Duterte sworn in as the 16th President of the Philippines. In his Twitter post, Vice Ganda was seen watching the much-awaited inauguration.
“Si Duterte na ang Pangulo. Yakapin ang PAGBABAGO,” he tweeted.
In his speech which was dubbed as the “most meaningful,” President Duterte reminded the Filipinos that the genuine change should start with us.
“Change, if it is to be permanent and significant, must start with us and in us,” he said.
