Vice Ganda reacts to rumored rift with Kris Aquino.
Phenomenal comedian Vice Ganda spoke up about his rumored rift with the “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino. He clarified that there is no issue between them.
In an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal, the “It’s Showtime” host said that they are still friends even though they supported different candidates last May 9 election.
Vice Ganda supported the incoming president Rodrigo Duterte although he did not publicized it, while Kris Aquino supported Duterte’s closest rival Mar Roxas under the Liberal Party, which is headed by his brother outgoing president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.
According to the comedian, there is no issue between them ever since the campaigned started. He added that the belief of people should not always be the same and they need to accept it.
“Walang isyu ever since. Hindi naman kinakailangan na pare-pareho ng opinyon, na pare-pareho ng paniniwala. May mga differences tayo and we all just have to accept that,” he was quoted saying.
Although there are rumors that his home network ABS-CBN is anti-Duterte, he clarified that his network never interfered with their choice of candidate and they are given the right to express their opinion.
“The management has given us the freedom na i-exercise din ang mga paniniwala namin. Hindi naman kami sinasaklawan ng management, walang ganun,” he added.
Meanwhile, Vice Ganda is positive for the genuine change that the president-elect promised during the campaign. Duterte will assume the presidency starting June 30.
