Zendaya became the most-talked celebrity on Twitter because of her dress during the 2019 Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theater at Los Angeles.
Zendaya, being the presenter of HBO show “Euphoria”, arrived on the red carpet in a custom one-shoulder asymmetric silk charmeuse gown by Vera Wang.
The dress that Zendaya was wearing features sheer corset detail and a hip-high slit, while subtle draping at the waist that creates an ultra-flattering effect.
The singer-actress accessorized her sexy gown with a diamond drop earrings and a show-stopping statement diamond bracelet on her left wrist. To add her look, she paired the dress with matching satin emerald green pumps by Brian Atwood.
Zendaya has no nominations in this year, but that could change next year, as her new show Euphoria will be eligible for awards. The said show debuted on the 16th of June 2019 and the Emmys eligibility period is from the 1st of June 2018 to the 31st of May 2019 for this year’s awards.
“Euphoria” portrays the saga of a group of teens as they navigate a world of drugs, sex, and drama. Zendaya played the role of a 17-year old Rue Bennett.
“I was really nervous because I wanted to do well,” Zendaya said.
“Sam [Levinson, creator & showrunner of Euphoria] told me I was on a mood board he made for Rue, and I didn’t believe him because I felt like there’s no way he’s seen anything that I’ve done,” she continued.
“He took a risk on me, but he doesn’t see it that way. He would always say, ‘Yo, Z, I’m not worried about you.’ I appreciate that” she concluded.
