#1 – At birth, humans have 300 bones but when a person reached adulthood the number drops to 206. The reason for this is that some of the bones combine together to make a single bone.

#2 – The only fully-grown bone since birth is found in the ear. Aside from this fact, the said bone is also the smallest in the human body and it is called the stapes bone.

#3 – Human bones are as strong as granite. According to the article, a bone with the size of a matchbox can carry a weight of 9 tons. This is considered stronger than concrete. The strongest bone in the human body is the femur or thigh bone.

#4 – Half of the total number of bones that a human body has can be found in hands and feet.
