Earth’s Axis Unusual Change In Rotation

Earth’s Axis Unusual Change In Rotation Gathered Great Attention From Scientists And Researchers

Earth’s rotation changed its direction recently was discovered by Nasa’s scientists and observers. This result is because of global warming.

Melting ice sheets changing the way the Earth wobbles on its axis, says NASA

Study has found that the its rotation on its polar axis has been changed because of global warming.

Now it only shows how global warming not only affects us, the nature, and the animals, but affects the planet itself as a whole.

Ice sheets melt widely in Greenland which costs great weight on our planet, changing the direction of the so called “polar motion”. 536650main_icescape_full

Adhikari, lead author at Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Lab said that “The recent shift from the 20th century direction is very dramatic”.

Other scientists say that the shift is harmless; however it gives us a heads up. It is an important thing to know what this impact is trying to tell humankind and think of ways on how to prevent future damages on man’s lives.

Greenland has lost 272 trillion kilograms of ice a since 2003, affecting the way our planet wobbles. Aside from that, West Antarctica loses 124 trillion kilograms of ice and East Antarctica gains about 74 trillion kilograms of ice yearly.

Jianli Chen, senior scientist at University of Texas’ Center for Space Research said “There is nothing to worry about” considering it as another effect of climate change.

It isn’t a surprise anymore how global warming greatly affect our lives, and this serves as a reminder that we have to participate and do something for out Mother Earth. Though it isn’t alarming on how the way our planet’s rotating, but it shows how global warming is really powerful. We may not vanish global warming, but we could minimize it through several and easy measures.
