We Filipinos know how blessed are we when it comes to our country, it is already given how proud we are of every thing about it. We get to appreciate our homeland more and more, we discover amazing places to go, especially this summer and realize how lucky it is to be a Filipino – both by heart and soul.
Foreigners also share the same compassion and they have a lot to say why we Filipinos should stay here and why other tourists should visit our country often. So here are just some of the reasons why they’re always excited to go and see the Philippines:
- Fresh coconut juice – tourist go crazy because of this, but we Filipinos sometimes don’t appreciate the uniqueness of coconut – we see this fruit as an ordinary one but for them it’s a once in a lifetime experience to sit back, relax while drinking real fresh coconut under the tree!
- Sarao Jeepneys – they always find it fun and unique! Traffic may be always present in Manila or Cebu, but to ride in a vehicle that is as artistic as Michelangelo’s painting and as colorful as M&M’s mean a lot to them – seriously.
- Kalesa – another form of vehicle that has deep, historical value. Known to have inherited this during Spanish era, it’s always cool to travel and see the streets riding in a kalesa. This horse-driven, two-wheeled vehicle can always be seen at San Fernando, Pampanga, Vign, Ilocos Sur, and some parts in Manila and Cebu.
- Sunken ships during WWII – for scuba diving activities, these ship wrecks are always something people look forward to. In Coron, Palawan, sunken Japanese ships are always on the top list.
- Unique mountains and volcanoes – Tagaytay, Bohol, Davao, and Negros are just some of the places we look forward to. Not to mention the unique Banaue Rice Terraces in Ifugao.
- Pure White Sand Beaches – Boracay is always top on the list but you should also consider going to Sipalay, Negros Occidental, where islands are more preserved, private and silent. Other places are
- Historical Houses and Churches – thanks to Spain – great structures with timeless designs won’t be here if it weren’t for them. For those aren’t fund of beaching and swimming, consider Negros Occidental, Baguio City, Cebu, and Ilocos region to be in your bucket list – there are a lot of mansion-turned-into-museums, and ancient hotels to look forward to
- Tropical climate and Unlimited Resorts and Beaches – last but not the least, we get to enjoy more and more of it anywhere, anytime. For those who go surfing, Aurora, Baler is the best place to be.
