But since the new X-Men: Apocalypse, Jean Grey was played with a younger version of her, and Sophie Turner’s the best one.

She was originally the ‘Marvel girl”. She is one of the main characters of X-Men.

She was called “Marvel Girl” n the 1st XMen comic, who was introduced in 1960’s by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

She is actually the Mutant Thor. After Thor became Avenger’s characters, artist Dave Cockrum and writer Chris Claremont decided to create a similar character like Thor for X-Men, but a mutant version.

Phoenix was born then. After Jean Grey used great amount of her powers to bring the shuttle back to Earth, she accumulated severe amounts of radiation, re-emerging as The Phoenix.

She have had limitless powers because of The Phoenix, but brought no good to her since then. Her mind became corrupted that led her to be The Dark Phoenix.
