AFP Chief Ready To Face Charges To Be Filed Against Them Over Marcos Burial

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff, Ricardo Visaya said that he’s willing to face charges over Marcos burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

On Wednesday (November 23, 2016), AFP chief denied the allegation that Marcos family and the military conspired for the burial of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos’ remains. Visaya explained that the military was just following orders.

“There is already a decision, we have to follow, kahit ako dinadamay diyan, but you know, we are in the government especially part kami ng law enforcement, we have to enforce whatever the decision of the government or the court,” said by Visaya quoted by ABS-CBN.

Marcos Burial

AFP received a formal memorandum issued by the Department of National Defense (DND), instructing them to plan and prepare for Marcos burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani as ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte.
